We Lived Happily – Premiere, Q&A with the Director

We Lived Happily is a black comedy about the fight against teenage extremism.

Lyudmila Ivanovna is 83 years old and has memory problems. She is raising her grandson Alyosha, who is finishing school and preparing to enter the University.

One Sunday morning, the police burst into the house and Alyosha is arrested. Lyudmila Ivanovna tries to understand what her grandson did, but the words “meme”, “repost” and “extremism” are unfamiliar to her – this is how Lyudmila Ivanovna’s journey into the life of her grandson and the social problems of the Russian hinterland begins.

Ilya Leutin was born in Kemerovo, graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of S.A. Solovyov and V.D. Rubinchik).

Valentina Gracheva received the prize for the leading female role at the “New Movement” film festival.

Мы жили счастливо – чёрная комедия о борьбе с подростковым экстремизмом.

Людмиле Ивановне 83 года и у неё проблемы с памятью. Она воспитывает внука Алёшу, который заканчивает школу и готовится к поступлению в Университет.

В одно воскресное утро в дом врывается полиция и Алёшу арестовывают. Людмила Ивановна пытается понять, что сделал её внук, но слова «мем», «репост» и «экстремизм» ей незнакомы – так начинается путешествие Людмилы Ивановны в жизнь её внука и социальные проблемы российской глубинки.

Илья Леутин – родился в Кемерове, окончил режиссёрский факультет ВГИКа (мастерская С.А. Соловьёва и В. Д. Рубинчика).

Валентина Грачёва получила приз за главную женскую роль на кинофестивале «Новое движение».
